Before using State funds to make shipments, first consider:

1. If shipping to a state Contractor or Supplier: The Contractor or Supplier should pay for all requested information. Ask for the Contractor's or Supplier's FedEx shipping number.

2. Is there any other method I could use to get my package to its destination?

Can I use an EMAIL and attach a file?
Can I send the information on a FAX machine?
Can I use the recipient's FedEx shipping number?

Does my agency really need to send this package?

Best practice recommends using FedEx Ground Service for all shipments WITHIN COLORADO.

Agencies can realize a significant savings over previous year spend if FedEx Ground Service is routinely used, instead of choosing air service for shipments within Colorado.
